Minutes

 

1. Call to Order & Welcome

   1. Meeting was called to order at 10:05 AM

 

1. Roll Call

   1. Board members- Robert Durga (phone), Robert Poupard, Heidi Shaffer, Lonne Petroskey, Mark Berghoef, Aleta Berghoef, Rick McCarren, Brad Whalley

   2. Guests- Stephanie Koppe, Allen Wolf (phone), Julie Woods, Ralph Crosslin

 

1.  Approval of July 21, 2018 Minutes

   1. Approval of Oct 2018 meeting minutes by Rick, and a second by Brad.

2. Treasurers Report

   1. Rob and Brad approved the report:

      1. Dues look to still be ~80%

      2. Replatting resulted in a shift of funds from savings to checking.  Lonne will move funds back to savings.

 

1. Property ownership changes- update property owners list by next meeting.  Aleta will help provide new packets to owners.

 

1. Other- Trees North will continue to be the lawn care provider to SVE.

   1. Spring Clean-                    $2000

   2. Lawn Care (mowing)-      $3000

   3. Misc.-                                 $500

 

1. Old Business

   1. Timber Harvest

      1. Survey results- 53 out of 150 responded to the survey.

         1. 45 said YES.         5 said NO       

            1. Side note: 10 of the 45 YES said they would like to have more personal work done to their respective property(s).

   2. **Heidi will draft a letter to be sent to property owners explaining survey results and showing detail of common areas within SVE vs private properties.  The results indicate that SVE will move forward with harvesting in common areas.

   3. **Heidi will also help with contacting surveyors to determine appropriate areas for tree harvest.

   4. **The board will formally vote on the harvesting of the common areas in the July meeting.

2. Easement for the SVE entrance signage

   1. Allan Wolf is working closely with Peter in finalizing the all details before submitting the final document for the easement.

   2. Motion to allocate no more than $1000 towards the entrance signage and landscaping.

      1. Rob and Aleta approve the motion.

3. PFA water testing.

   1. Heidi spoke to the health department.  Their information shows to have no known issues present in SVEPOA in regards to drinking water contamination.

4. Blue House construction

   1. Heidi will speak with the owner for an update on future progress

5. Signage for liability in common areas

   1. The board decided to remove this topic from the agenda

6. Speed limit signs

   1. 8 signs at $125/sign has been approved. Waiting for the road commission to install.

 

1. New Business

   1. Planning for picnic

      1. Aleta will help with invitations

      2. Lonne will source food

   2. Mailbox proposal

      1. Rick McCarren proposed the association add a central mailbox location at the entrance.  **Rick will develop a detailed plan for board approval in the July meeting.

   3. Facebook page for SVOPOA picnic

      1. Julie will propose idea for July meeting

   4. Erosion of the SVE roads.  Large trucks eroded a few of the corners that continue to deteriorate.  Heidi will ask about details for a fix.

   5. Pavillion flooring-   **Lonne will bring quote to July meeting.

 

1. Calendar- Next meeting dates

   1. July 13, 2019      (Lonne’s house)  (also same date as the summer picnic))

   2. Oct 12th, 2019   (Allen’s house)

 

1. Summary of Action Items

   1. Heidi will draft a letter to be sent to property owners explaining survey results.
